Totton & Eling with a population now of nearly 30,000 used to be known as the ‘Biggest Village in England’, although now the size of a town.
It still manages to retain its friendly village atmosphere. The Town Council is proud of its extensive range of recreational and community services which we hope you will enjoy.
Whether living, working or holidaying in the town, there are a host of local facilities to offer whatever your age.
The Town Council has 8 main recreation grounds and 23 children’s play areas together with many informal areas throughout the town with a total of about 200 acres of open space provision.
There are 3 paddling pools in the town and at Bartley Park is a large skateboard park and the Council has recently introduced a BMX track in the area.
There are also quiet areas to walk and relax in the park.
A Town Guide, which includes a map of the town, is available from any of the Council Centres in the Town and also from the Library.
