The New Forest District Council elected a new Chairman on 18th May 2026.
Councillor Dave Penny was elected to serve as Chairman for 2026 – 2027.
Dave Penny has been a member of the council since May 2023, serving Totton North Ward.
The Chairman is responsible for leading and acting impartially in the full council meetings, representing and acting on behalf of citizens as well as acting out other civic duties.
