If you live in Totton, Lyndhurst, Hythe, Marchwood, Fawley and surrounding areas, your new waste collections will start during the week of Monday 11th May.
Over the next couple of weeks, you’ll receive a letter and leaflet from NFDC in the post.
It will include:
• the exact date your new collections will start during the week of Monday 11th May
• your collection day for weekly food waste collections and alternate week recycling and rubbish collections (this may be different to the day we currently collect your sacks)
• guides on what can and cannot go in your waste containers, and more information about what to do on your collection day
Wheelie bins and outdoor food waste caddies will continue to be delivered through April. Caddies may be delivered inside wheelie bins.
Visit the NFDC website to check if your area should have had bins delivered. Please make a report on NFDC website if your bins or caddies haven’t arrived by Friday 24 April.
Changes to recycling and rubbish collections from 2025 to 2026 – New Forest District Council
Properties that share communal bins will receive these closer to the May start date, regardless of location.
