New Waste Collection Service - Phase 3

New Waste Collection Service – Phase 3

If you live in Hythe, Fawley, Lyndhurst, Marchwood, Totton, and surrounding areas, you’re part of phase 3, and your waste collections will be changing from May 2026.
This week, New Forest District Council started writing to households in phase 3 – the largest and final phase, covering over 35,000 properties. Every phase 3 household will receive a ‘Get Ready’ letter and leaflet in the post.
These will include:
• How the new service will work for your household, including new food waste recycling collections
• Which waste containers you’ll use
• How bin deliveries will work
• A timeline for future updates
Bin deliveries for phase 3 are scheduled to start from March.
For more information about the new service and to sign up for email updates relevant to your area, visit newforest.gov.uk/WasteChanges.
