Planned Maintenance - Commercial Road/Salisbury Road & Water Lane, Totton - Footway Micro Asphalt - Work Notification

As part of the annual Planned Maintenance programme, this is to let you know we will shortly be undertaking ‘Footway Micro Asphalt’ maintenance treatments to extend the life of the footways at locations within your division.
The treatment is applied to the existing surface, sealing it from water ingress, which is a major cause of deterioration. The process is fast, efficient, and extremely effective in ensuring that our footway surfaces are kept safe and serviceable for the longest possible period, whilst using as few non-sustainable material sources as possible.

Please see below the list of sites with current proposed start dates:
FW-E23008 - Commercial Road/Salisbury Road, Totton - programmed Saturday 4th November 2023
FW-E23007 - Water Lane, Totton - programmed Wednesday 8th November 2023

The sites have been split into sections, each of which will take 2 working days to complete. The team expect to be working between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00 each day. We will try to cause as little inconvenience as possible and operatives on site will be happy to assist residents with access to properties during the works.
These treatments are weather sensitive and part of a larger programme of works, meaning dates are susceptible to change. There may be times when we have to postpone works at very short notice; based on the latest weather forecasts. We will always look to provide up to date information wherever we can, but sometimes these last-minute decisions can be difficult to relay to the public in a timely manner. When we can, any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow information signs located at the works limits.
